Skype & Telephone Counselling

Skype & Telephone Counselling

Locating a counsellor may be a challenge where distance is an issue.  Skype and telephone counselling may provide a viable option. Using a computer or the telephone to talk with a counsellor is similar to what you could expect from an office (face-to-face) meeting.  The therapeutic approoach is the same regardless of the medium in which counselling is provided.  Counselling via Skype or telephone can be as effective as traditional face-to-face consultations.

How to get started with Skype Counselling

There are a few steps to take in order to have the best possible Skype Counselling session.  Here is what we suggest:

  1. Contact our office and discuss your needs with the counsellor
  2. An appointment will be made with the counsellor to suit your needs
  3. There is no initial cost for the discussion of the provided services
  4. On your computer, go to www.skype.com and download the free software
  5. Create a Skype username
  6. Add 'Relationships_Matter' to your Skype contacts list
  7. The session booked between you and the counsellor will be exclusively yours and will last for approximately 55 minutes.
  8. Payments for Skype Counselling are required to be received 24 hours prior to the session, otherwise the session will be cancelled.
  9. Towards the end of your session, you will be able to arrange further Skype Counselling sessions with the counsellor.

Skype and telephone Counselling sessions are confidential and always handled by fully trained, qualified and registered counsellors.

The cost of Skype and telephone Counselling is charged at the same rate as face-to-face counselling of $120 per hour.
